Midland Hotel Manchester UpLighting

The Midland as lots of function rooms the 4 main wedding reception rooms are Stanley, Derby, Trafford and the massive Alexandra. The Midland Hotel is fantastic old hotel that’s full of character, as it’s in the center of Manchester parking can be a problem more for me setting up than your guests. Alexandra Suite UpLighting

The picture on the right was from a student ball, they phoned me up looking to book 6 uplights that the hotel said is the right number for the room. After I explained that it takes a lot more than 6 to make the Alexandra Suite look amazing and showed the past pictures they booked 30 lights.

Gold was the colour selected for the UpLighting in the Midland Hotel for a Jewish Wedding in the Alexandra Suite.

Two pictures below are from a Jewish Wedding in the Midland Hotel Purple Wedding uplighting and wash lighting over 50 lights was used to get the effect that they wanted.

  

I provided blue event lighting for a students leavers ball in the Alexandra Suite. I used 30 lights to go all they way round the room. Sorry about the poor quality of the event pictures the dj on the night liked using his smoke machine.

   

This is the second wedding that I have provided wedding lighting for the White family. Victoria had lots of ideas on how she wanted the room to look. She wanted the gold lighting to wash the room and avoid any lighting on the greek style moulding in the Alexandra Suite (the moldings have now gone and the walls are now brown). I used over 50 led lights to create the effect that my clients wanted, the lighting included uplighting, wash lighting on stands and moving heads for the dance floor area.

     

Derby Suite

I provided gold lighting (again) this time in the Derby Suite. This is a hard room to light fully due to the massive windows down one side of the room.
